Camper Family Resources

Goals

  • To provide a safe, fun and stimulating place for kids to learn and play
  • To share the love of Jesus through story, music, art, recreation and drama
  • To provide teens with leadership training and work experience
  • To encourage former campers to return as volunteers and staff

Cost The camp is FREE to all who enroll.

Who can attend? Children ages 6-11 who live in the neighborhood of the hosting church.

Who staffs the camp? Each site has its own site coordinator, assistant coordinator(s) and three to six paid teen interns. Middle school students volunteer their time.  Pastors lead “God Time” daily. Outside resources persons and adult volunteers also participate.

What happens at camp? Each week has a theme such as “Fit as a Fiddle” or “How Things Work”.  Activities during the day focus on that theme through art, drama, music, experiments or games.  There is plenty of time for the campers to engage in recreational activities.  There are also field trips which are coordinated with the weekly theme.  Each day the pastor conducts “God Time”.  Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided at all sites.
